Ecuador Adventure II

Canyonning, Rafting, Trekking...11 days and 10 nights....

day 1.... Quito

• Arrival at Quito (2850m). Reception and transfer in the hotel. Presentation of the stay in detail. Meal and strolls in the colonial district of the hotel.

day 2.... Ilinizas

•  Transport through Andean landscapes until Chaupi, departure of the trek. Nice views on 8 active volcanoes among the highest of the world. The path cross culture and forest forming a surprising patchwork, up to the refuge at Ilinizas
• feet where a lunch break will allow you to admire the territory of the famous Andean Condor. In the afternoon, we will climb the North summit. Then rest at the Nina-Rumy hotel.

day 3.... Quilotoa

• Early in the morning we shall join the Quilotoa lagoon (4000m) start of a long walk donw to the bottom of the crater to make a small stroll on the lagoon and rest before going back up. At the end of the day we shall set off to Baños.

day 4.... Baños

• After a good continental breakfast, a descent with mountain bike of the waterfalls road until the "Pailon del Diablo". Visit of several waterfalls, the bravest can even jump of a bridge and rock quietly over the river … A "Tarabita" (nacelle hung on a cable) allows to cross the valley more than 130 m over Rio Pastaza. After the meal, half day canyonning in the middle of a dense vegetation among the numerous waterfalls of this magnificent valley. Rest in the hotel “El pequeño Paraiso”.

day 5.... Rafting and flight till Pita Cocha

•  Rafting on Rio Pastaza to start the day. According to chosen entrance the class Rio varies from III- to IV, another one half-day when it will be difficult to stay dry … After the lunch, we shall take the plane to Shell to go directly to the Pita Cocha community in the Quechuas territory. Meeting with the Indian community and their traditions, installation of the camp then typical meal before a night walk with guide explanations on the different meetings. On the way back small tasting of a typical drink "Ayahuaska" (Soul wine).

day 6.... Amazon rain forest

• Descent of Rio in dugout up to the beach through the primary forest, we will install the camp before a walk up to the lagoon to observe caimans and other discreet animals. Return to the camp to go fishing and rest around a campfire.

day 7.... Amazon rain forest

• Return on dugouts up to a community where we shall take a typical lunch accompanied with the "Chicha de Yuca". Demonstration and presentation of the Huoarani craft before joining a Huoarani family isolated in the forest to take a good natural shower … Installation of the camp, meal, initiation to manufacture yourself necklace and bracelet only with natural products. Night observation of insects on a white sheet.

day 8.... Amazon rain forest

• After a substantial breakfast, walk in the primary forest (5 - 6 h), the guide will explain you the use of the different met plants. Installation of the camp at the edge of a small river, a rest and a campfire before a small night-walking...

day 9.... Back to the civilisation

• After the breakfast, 3 hours walk to return to the civilization in a small village “Gareno” where we shall lunch near a river, bathing before going to San Pedro to take a power-driven dugout and join the France-Amazonia hotel at Misahualli. Small welcome cocktail at the edge of the swimming pool … Before the dinner, the small visit of the monkeys village, take care of your belongings… Return in the hotel, meal and rest at the edge of the swimming pool or of the Rio Napo … We shall join Quito after one good night of rest.

day 10.... Quito

•  We will Arrive in Quito at the middle-day, visit of one of the most beautiful market of Ecuadorian craft before a ballad in old classified Quito “world patrimony of the humanity”.

day 11.... Flight back

• Free morning, meal then transfer at the airport.
• The price includes: transport, breakfast.

The price includes....

•  All the transport except free half-day, the meals as defined daily, nights in hotel classify tourist (three stars in Europe), entrances to the visited sites, everything equipments necessary for the excursions.
