You can easily make the diference between these reptils and their cousin the marin iguans. Their colors and the shape of their head are diferents. They may grow to more than 3 feet and weight as much as 25 pounds. They feed mainly on cactus, cactus fruits and insects. Males have a more pronounced row of spines on their back., they are bigger than the female as well. They can live for more than 60 years. Land iguanas are found in the arid zone of the Galápagos islsand. The St Fe iguana has a red colored skin, all are endemic species.
